Betty F. Joule, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022.
She was born on October 20, 1935 in Woodbury, New Jersey to the late Clarence and Lillian (Jones) Joule. She is also preceded in death by her brother William Walter Joule and nephews Steven Robert Joule and Michael Walter Joule.
Betty was a trained dental hygienist, but spent the majority of her working life as a stewardess during the glamorous era of air travel. This allowed her to see the world and meet and serve travelers from all walks of life, from celebrities flying from New York to London, to young soldiers on their way to Vietnam. She was also a lifelong lover and benefactor of animals of all kinds, who responded instinctively to her innate warmth and gentleness.
Betty is survived by her niece, Kristina Suttles (Larry), nephews, David Joule (Maria), Tom Joule, sister-in-law JoAnn Joule and a host of family and friends.
Cremation was chosen and a celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date.
The family requests that contributions in Betty's memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
