Betty Jo(Stucky) Vessels

Betty Jo (Stucky) Vessels, 65, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013. She recently earned an associate's degree from Ivy Tech and was an avid reader. Most of all, Betty loved and adored her children and grandchildren.

Betty was born on January 28, 1948 in Borden, Indiana to the late Ralph and Freida (Ferber) Stucky. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Marion "Bud" Porter.

She is survived by her children, Dana Shaw (Carmen), Danny Schellenberger, Sr.; siblings, Doris Stiner (John), Melvin "Butch" Porter (Marilyn "Sue"); sister-in-law, Virginia Porter; grandchildren, Danny Schellenberger, Jr., Austin and Chloe Shaw.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (624 E. Market Street, New Albany) or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church (321 E. Market Street, Jeffersonville).
