Betty Jo Rusk

Mrs. Betty Jo Lane Rusk, age 85 passed away Friday, August 19, 2011. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 14, 1926 to the late Freda Jeffries and Harry Lane. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Middletown, and was the first woman school bus driver for Jefferson County Public Schools. She enjoyed writing poetry and was a gifted singer. She was preceded in death by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Sheldon A. Rusk.

Betty is survived by her sons, Lawrence (Claudie) and Steven (Linda); grandchildren, Tyler, Wesley (Molly) and Kristen; and her cat, Rudolph.

Memorial ceremony will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with visitation there from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
