Rev. Betty Jean Harris, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Betty loved her Ministry and was a part of Agape Ministry. She also was involved with Prison Ministry, Children's Ministry, and most importantly her Family Ministry in her home. Betty loved spending time with her family and especially her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She always had her Bible by her side, close in hand, and was devoted follower of Jesus. Betty will be missed by all who knew her.
She was born on August 2, 1939 in Wayne, West Virginia to John and Florence (Brown) Finley. She is preceded in death by her Parents, First Husband, Douglas Fryer, Second Husband, Jimmy Harris, Son, Rodney Fryer, and Grandson, Douglas Fryer.
Betty is survived by her Son, Dwain (Christine) Fryer, Daughter, Angela Lightfoot, Son, Brian Fryer, Grandchildren, Vicki, Travis, Ryanna, Zach, Gracie, Alex, and Colton, Great-Grandchildren, Rachel, Haley, Haden, Story, Alexis, Kelsey, and Chelsey, Great Great Grandson, Bryson, Siblings, John Finley Jr, Alma Steinbrook, Doris Lambert, and Kenny Brown. Betty also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
