Betty Jo Brown, age 86 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019. She was born January 13, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Mildred Walker Lamb. A Baptist by faith, she was a member of Clarks River Baptist Church for 41 years. For 20 years she enjoyed babysitting the children of friends and family and was proud to be involved with the forming of some 20 young lives. A devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan that never missed watching a game, she was also known and appreciated for her country-style cooking and baking. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years James Brown, parents Lawrence and Mildred Lamb and sister, June Smith.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Moore (Roger); sons, Dr. Randy Brown (Debbie) and Paul (Cathy); grandchildren, Jamie Martin, Robert Martin, Christopher Brown, Drew Brown, Daniel Osborn, Tamara Hoagland and Trisha Finnegan; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Blake, Brielle, Madison, Santiago, Mateo, Emi and Ben; great-great-grandchildren, Alistair, Fletcher and Emmitt; sister, Gilda Driver; and brother, Gery Lamb; sister-In-laws, Julia Ann Byerly, Connie Lamb; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 3 to 6 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky (in Middletown). Graveside service and burial will be in the Horn Cemetery in Olive, Kentucky at 1pm CST.
