Bettie Virginia Mcclain

Mrs. Bettie Virginia Sutter McClain, age 89 of Louisville passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011. She was president of the Pekin YWCA in Illinois, was a Sunday school teacher at St. Paul United Church of Christ, was a fundraiser for the Pekin, Illinois United Way and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Devon and her sister Geraldine Brown.

Survivors include her children, Janice L. Koch (Steven), David D. McClain (Marcia), Scott J. McClain (Debra); grandchildren, Christopher James McClain, Jennifer Alexandra McClain, Amanda Lynn McClain and Megan Ashley McClain.

Funeral ceremony will be 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with visitation there from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. McClain will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in a private family service. Memorials may be made to Kosair Charities.
