Bettie Jane Lewis
March 27, 1943 — October 8, 2014
Bettie Jane Lewis, 71 of Taylorsville, Kentucky was called home October 8, 2014. She retired from the University of Louisville Library in 2009. Bettie was a very caring and intelligent woman who loved gardening, crossword puzzles, Scrabble, the University of Louisville sports but mostly she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Larry, her daughter, Kelley (Karim) grandson, Ian, her sister Myrna Drowns, brother William (Dorothy) and Steve (Alma) Horton and niece Joy (Richard) and Connor Henry as well as step-daughter Lori (Mark), Sean Baron, granddaughter Rebecca Shafer, step-sons Steve (Londa) and Matt (Natalie) and grandson's Airman Westley Park and Nick Lewis.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Theodore Horton and her sister Barbara.
There will be a memorial service at a later date to be followed by burial in Manchester, OH.
