Betsy Jane Taylor

Betsy Jane Taylor, 91, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Betsy worked for over 36 years at Philip Morris until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and loved to read. Betsy always enjoyed a good episode of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and spent time volunteering at the Kentucky Center of the Arts. Above all else, her greatest love of all was her family.

She was born on August 16, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Harold Armstrong and Rosemary (Brady) Armstrong. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Scott Taylor; sisters, Maryanne Celebrezze and Nora Matchuny; and grandchildren, Alexander Taylor and Amber Tarrence.

Betsy is survived by her loving children, Mickey (Linda) Taylor, Rebecca (Charles) Beardsley, Terry (Jefferson) Faulkner, and Tracy Caswell; grandchildren, Michael (Ana) Taylor, Jr., Adam Weickel, Brandon (Adrienne) Dickey, Lauren (Momo) Bouaziz, Alexander Faulkner, and Dawn (Joshua) McClure; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Betsy's wishes.
