Betsy Eve

Betsy J. (Allen) Eve, 83, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012. A long-time parishioner of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, she enjoyed bowling as well as playing bunco and dominoes regularly with her friends in the various groups in which she was a member.

She was born on April 6, 1929 in Curdsville, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Mary Christine (Coomes) Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. Eve; brother, Joseph D. Allen; and grandson, Kevin J. Eve.

Betsy is survived by her children, Michael (Roxanne) Eve of Renton, Washington, Patrick (Becky) Eve of Georgetown, Indiana, Timothy (Mary) Eve of New Salisbury, Matthew (Katie) Eve of Floyds Knobs, and Mary Sieg (Brian) of New Albany; sister, Diana Warren (Kenny) of Louisville; grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Christopher, Jason, Joshua, Nicholas, Allison, Brandon (Renee), and William; and one great grandchild, Timmy.

Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Celebration of Life will take place at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
