Bernard Matthew "Beanie" Coombs, 73, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Rolling Hills Healthcare Center after a long illness.
Bernard, better known as "Beanie", was born on August 6, 1950 to Elmer Coombs and Julia Coombs in New Albany, Indiana. He was owner and operator of Clarksville Auto Trim until he retired.
Beanie is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Baugh Coombs; sons, Kyle (Stacy), Clayton (Sydney), and Matt; brother, Leland "Pepper" Coombs (Pam); sisters-in-law, Norma Coombs and Jo Coombs; grandchildren, Murphee, Caydence, Cayleigh, Kyle Jr., Kyann; and a long list of many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beanie is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Coombs; mother, Julia Coombs Keith; sisters, Irma Ward (Robert), Patty Renfrow (Robert), and Karen Ferry; brothers, Robert Coombs, Gordon "Butch" Coombs, and Larry "Tinker" Coombs; and step-brother, George Keith Jr.
Cremation was chosen following Beanie's wishes. There will be no services held at this time. Beanie will be buried at New Chapel Cemetery in Jefferonsville, Indiana at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care.
