Belinda Joy Hawkins

Belinda Joy Hawkins, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Belinda was a kind soul and a forgiver. She was born in the South End and raised in Highland Park. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She enjoyed arts and crafts, going out with family and friends, and talking on the phone anytime of the day. In her earlier days she enjoyed bowling with her mom and dad, going to the movies, baking all kinds of sweets, and her favorite was decorating for Christmas. Belinda will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on September 7, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky to Donnie and Judith (Duncan) Hawkins. She is preceded in death by her Father, Donnie R. Hawkins and her Grandparents.

Belinda is survived by her loving family, Mother, Judith M. Hawkins; Daughters, Andrea D. Gomez Sanchez and Samantha Nicole (Roberto) Mejia; Grandchildren, Maria I. Baca, Jose M. Baca, Rokin L. Bautista, Jr., Elder G. Mendez, Mia L. Merlo, Royce M. Mejia, and Rodrigo B. Gomez Sanchez; Great-Grandchild, Giovanni D. Degraphenreed, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family requests that contributions in Belinda's memory be made to Norton Hospital.
