Barry McCarty, 57, of Cloverport, KY, went home to be with Christ the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Barry shared his faith in the Lord with everyone he met and had great concern for all. He loved to sing and play his guitar while spending time with family and friends. Barry was a Navy veteran and graduated from Breckinridge County High School.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold McCarty.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacey M. McCarty and grandchildren of Louisville, KY; mother, Wanda McCarty; sisters, Sharon (Rogie) Payne of Leitchfield, KY, Susan (Ernie) Embry of Brandenburg, KY, Linda (Rick) Williams of Payneville, KY and Iris (Rick) Mattingly of Brandenburg, KY. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 15, at 2:00pm EST at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery located at Falls of Rough, KY.
