Barry Wayne James, age 59, passed away October 28, 2022 at Baptist Health Hospital. He was born February 21, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a retired mechanic after working at Etscorn and Sons many years. He had his own business for a short time, Hikes Lane Auto Repair.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, David H. James; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Urban James of Henry County; Mr. and Mrs. James P Jones of Franklinton, and his stepfather Bruce M Swink. He is survived by his mother, Betty Jones Swink; brother David L James (Bill) of Palm Springs, California; stepmother Lourdes James; stepsister Aimee Cline (Berely); stepbrothers Craig Swink (Debbie) of Florida, Mike Swink of South Carolina, and several cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Marriott East Hotel (1903 Embassy Square Blvd, Louisville, KY 40299) from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
