Barry Wayne Cox Jr., 35, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Wayne started playing baseball as a boy and had a 95 mile an hour fastball at the age of 14. He played baseball at Manual High School. Wayne loved, and played many sports. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish. He was a die hard University of Louisville Cardinals fan. Wayne was a huge music fan too.

He was born on January 18, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky to Barry and DeMaris Cox. He is preceded in death by his Father, Barry W. Cox Sr..

Wayne is survived by his Mother, DeMaris (Robert W.) Edlin, Sisters, Tina Baldwin, and Jennifer Jefferson, Brothers, Michael Kemp, and Robert Kemp, lifelong friends, Phillip Thomas, Josh Lustenberger, Adam Wilbert, Scott Julius, just to name a few.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Wayne's memory be made to The Healing Place.
