Barry L. Armstrong

Barry L. Armstrong Sr., 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Barry was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was an avid racecar fan and driver. He had a love for bowling, golfing, camping, and fishing. Barry will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on November 3, 1944 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to Delbert and Mary (Martin) Armstrong. He is preceded in death by his Father, Delbert Lee Armstrong, Mother, Mary Katherine Armstrong, Daughter-In-Law, Susan Armstrong, Son-In-law, Doug McDonald, and Grandson, Michael Barth.

Barry is survived by his loving Wife of 43 years, Linda Armstrong; Sons, Barry Armstrong, Jr. and Ronnie (Julie) Meredith; Daughters, Tracy Widman, Bonnie McDonald, Patti Doyle, Angie (Mike) Burress, and Brandi (Brian) Carney; 16 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; Aunts, Peggy Blue, Nell (Art) Taphorn, and Ruth Pitt. As well as a host of cousins, family, and friends to cherish his fun loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Barry's memory be made to Louisville Hosparus or The Alzheimers Association.
