Barbara Ann (Mottolo) Moore, 73, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012.
Barbara was born on June 14, 1938 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late Jerry & Lillian (Karpinski) Mottolo. She spent over half her life in the Boston area. Barbara was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeffersonville. She also enjoyed her membership with The Red Hats, affectionately known as the Hoosier Hunnies. Her family and the ocean were Barbara's true loves.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Nance (Dennis), Yvonne Wilson, & Kevin Goodwin; brothers, Gerald Mottolo (Carol) & Robert Mottolo (Evelyn); grandchildren, Megan Wilson & her fiancé, Chris, Jeremy Nance (Anna) & Josh Nance. Along with her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Moore; & daughter, Kathleen Moore.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at the New Albany National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital (501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105) or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (P.O. Box 4072 Pittsfield, MA 01202).
