Barbara Koontz, 76, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024.
She was born on October 7, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky. Barbara was retired from Jones Apothecary, where she worked for 25 years. She was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and her cats.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Elnora T. Evans; step-father, William Evans; and brother, Elmer Gore, Jr.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Deborah Goldberg and Jennifer Daunhauer (Mike Turner); life partner, Clarence "Bud" Meals; grandchildren, Kayla "Brianne" Goldberg and Brendon Daunhauer; sister, Carol Bothwell; and her extended family members and fur babies.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). The family will have a time to share memories of Barbara following at 4:00 pm that day at the funeral home.
