Barbara Jean(Lindsey) Waters

Barbara Jean (Lindsey) Waters, 73, passed into the presence of her lord and savior Jesus Christ, on March 5, 2012 in New Albany. She was a former employee of Sears Department Store in Syracuse, NY and a long time member of Culbertson Baptist Church in New Albany, where she was actively involved with the Missions Committee.

Barbara was born on May 8, 1938 in Syracuse to the late Edward J. and Dorothy B. (Hewes) Lindsey. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Beverly A. Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Sherman T. Waters; children, Jeffery Michaels (Deloris) of Ontario, NY, Jacquelyn G. Eberle (Fred) of Lake Orion, MI, Damon R. Michaels (Linda) of Franklin, TN, Douglas Waters of Evansville, IN; sister, Bonnie Parise of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Richard Jones of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Brandon, Josiah, Hannah, Timothy, and Breanna; her special nieces and nephews, Thomas Jones, Susan Nothnagel and Patricia Jones; and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 4 PM on Friday at the funeral home with entombment to take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse, NY.
