Barbara Ann Fultz

January 6, 1941 — January 18, 2023

Barbara Ann Forrester-Fultz, 82, of Bardstown, Kentucky, joined her Heavenly Father on January 18, 2023. Barbara Ann was born on January 6, 1941, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to Charles Arthur Forrester and Ophelia (Masden) Forrester and at her family home.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a younger sister, Vivian Lynn Forrester and three brothers, William Arthur "Bill" Forrester, Joseph Anthony Forrester, and James Allen Forrester.

Barbara is survived by her son, Christopher Tod "Chris" Fultz; grandson, Dakota Skye "Cody" Fultz, and sister-in-law, (wife of Bill) Judith Gayle "Judy" (Livers) Forrester.

Barbara lived a long fulfilling life, graduating from Southern High School, class of 1960. She worked as a receptionist for a law firm, found out what it was like to be the character created by Lily Tomlin as a telephone operator, then went on to get married, become a mother, and enjoyed being a stay at home mom.

Barbara and her family purchased their first home in Southern, Indiana, where she raised and showed Morgan horses. Life was hard, but interesting. It was like living between the past and the present as far as having modern day essentials. Barbara's son Chris told his mother once, that he enjoyed this home the most because you could not hurt it. Life is what you make it.

Following life at the farm, Barbara moved to a home in Palmyra, Indiana. Chris went on to join the army and was later stationed at the U.S. Army Daley Barracks in Bad Kissingen, Germany where Barbara had the privilege of visiting. Before her trip, Barbara purchased her first 35mm camera. This was the beginning of her love of photography. Her camera became her sidekick everywhere she went. She went on to learn how to use a digital camera, which provided access to a whole new world of photography. Later in life, Barbara had the privilege to photograph The Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Banquet for the years of 2010, 2013, and 2014.

After her son grew up and left the house, Barbara became a career temp worker, a specialist in diversity. It allowed her the freedom to experience a change in her personal and workplace environment.

Later in life, Barbara took pride in becoming a blogger and enjoyed working on her family tree, which can be found on Ancestry.
