Barbara Ann Ferguson

Barbara Ann Ferguson, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 27, 2024. Barbara was a loving and devoted mother, Nana, and sister. She was an avid Bruno Mars fan and loved listening to music from the 50's and 60's. Barbara enjoyed working on word searches and watching her stories on television. Most importantly, Barbara's family meant the world to her and she loved making memories with her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren.  Barbara will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on March 14, 1948 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Bill Couch and Geneva Alvey. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Powell and Rita Foster; and niece, Nicole Boggs.

Barbara is survived by her loving family, son, George Ferguson; daughter, Samantha Green; grandchildren, Amber Green, Cassie (Andrew) Hare, Zachary Green, Jeffery Ward, Alec Ferguson, Savannah Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Tesa Forbes, Adelyn Lee, Makenna Anderson, Aubrey Anderson, Milo Hare, Luke Hare, Naomi Hare; brother, Lawrence Grimes; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that memorial contributions in Barbara's honor be made to Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions to assist with final expenses.
