Barbara Nell Carter

Barbara Nell Carter, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Barbara was a faithful member of Charlestown Road Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born on May 17, 1936, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late William and Nona (Beasley) Kininmonth. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Carter; brothers, Russell, Howard, Milton, and Maurice Kininmonth; and sister, Anna Margaret Kininmonth.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Charles) Baker and Sherry (Scott) Schulz; brother, Ray Kininmonth; grandchildren, Eric Schulz, Ross (Kelly) Schulz, Holli (James) Friley, and Macie Schulz; great-grandchildren, Camden, Grady, Duke, and Dolores.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
