Barbara Ann(Stewart) Summers

Barbara Ann (Stewart) Summers, 75, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in New Albany. Barbara enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and doing various home projects but spent most of her time doting on her family whom she cherished dearly.
She was born on May 7, 1937 in New Albany to the late James "Jinx" and Lilly (Nance) Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Laura Everbach.
She met her husband of 60 years at the age of 10 at E. Spring Street School, Donald L. Summers. Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons, Kevin L. Summers (Judy), Eric L. Summers; grandchildren, Victoria Risley, Anastasia Summers, Dustin Summers, Shane Summers, Rebecca Reisert; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) followed by the Memorial Service at 2 PM.
