Barbara Ann Augenstein
Mrs. Barbara Ann Augenstein age 61 passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 after bravely battling ovarian cancer for a year and a half.
She is survived by her husband Charlie; her daughters, Jennifer Aschermann and Wendy Melton; grandchildren, Megan and Katelyn Melton; brothers, Michael and Patrick Swingler; and mother Cora Swingler.
Barb and Charlie were owners of various businesses during their 40 years together, including their recent Louisville area business, Adventures in Advertising Unlimited, which they ran from 1998 - 2008. Since 2008, Barb was the financial secretary at Broadway Baptist Church on Brownsboro Rd. She loved her job and all the people with whom she worked. Barb was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held in the chapel at Broadway Baptist Church on Thursday Oct 20 from 5-8pm. Services will be held on Friday Oct. 21 at 2:00pm in the chapel at Broadway Baptist Church. 4000 Brownsboro Rd. Louisville, KY 40207.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to The Creative Difference, a 501c3 philanthropic organization that Barb has been an active member of for many years. The Louisville organization provides direct assistance to many local and international causes, natural disasters and emergencies. Contributions can be made in care of Broadway Baptist.
Special thanks goes to the entire staff of angels at the HOSPARUS at Norton Healthcare Pavilion.
