Austin L. Posey, 72, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014. He was a volunteer with D.A.D.S. and a part of the Hardee's morning crew. Austin was a jovial man that had a great sense of humor.
He was born on February 3, 1942 in Adair County, Kentucky to the late Welby and Annie (Edwards) Posey. Austin is survived by his loving companion, Doris Blair; brothers, Glen and Ollen Posey; and sister, Joyce Pickett.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) and on Thursday after 9 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
Contributions in Austin's memory may be made to Hosparus Inpatient Care Unit (315 East Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202).
