Audrey M. Ishmael

Audrey M. Ishmael, 97, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Audrey enjoyed crochet, sewing, embroidering, and crafts. She was an avid University of Kentucky fan. Audrey was nurse at Jewish Hospital on 5 Towers before her retirement. She was a tech savvy Grandmother who loved sending texts and photos to her Children and Grandchildren. Audrey was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for many years. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on May 22, 1924 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Albert and Floretta (Gaulbert) Willard. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Ishmael, Son, Kenneth Ishmael, Daughter, Kelly Sue Ishmael, Parents, and Brother, Jack Willard.

Audrey is survived by her loving Sons, Steve (Jenise) Ishmael, Kevin (Karen) Ishmael, and Craig (Betty) Ishmael, Daughter, Melissa Ishmael, Grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah Beth, Amber, Courtenay, and Madison, Great-Grandchildren, Dylan, Mackenzie, MaryAnn, Ryan, Cayleigh, Hayden, Gabe, Izabella, Michael, Jasper, Colton, and Madelyne. Audrey also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family, and Friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Audrey's memory be made to Susan B. Komen Foundation.
