Artilly Whiting, Jr.

Artilly Whiting, Jr., 56, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1966, in Louisville, Kentucky. Art was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and worked many years for the Louisville Water Company until his retirement. He was a faithful member who served as a Deacon at Christ Temple Christian Life Center.

Everyone who knew Art loved him. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, as well as his generosity. He gave until it hurt, and his kindness was legendary.

Art is survived by his loving wife, DeVonne Whiting; parents, Artilly Whiting, Sr., and Rose Whiting; daughter, Danyelle Whiting; son, Kendall Whiting; stepdaughter, Jasmine Foreman; brother, Antonio (Penny) Whiting; brother, Timothy (Marie) Whiting; and grandchildren, Aubreyelle and Lynox.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Christ Temple Christian Life Center (723 S. 45th Street, Louisville, KY 40211). His Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Art will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, Kentucky, at a later date.
