Arthur W. Shake

Mr. Arthur W. Shake, age 63 of Louisville, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 12:19 pm. A '65 graduate of Fairdale High School, along with his wife he was owner of RAM AUTO ELECTRIC and an avid race fan. He faithfully attended Highview Baptist Church and accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age while attending Minors Lane Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lillian, and his sister Judy Lynch and nephew David Lynch.
Wedded to his beloved wife Mary Long Shake of over 38 years, her only regret is that they didn't meet sooner and have longer together. He is also survived by his daughter, Kim Reinhart (37) and her husband Eddie; son Kenneth (33) and his wife Jamie; his #1 Granddaughter Ava (3) and #1 Grandson Matthew who is due in 2010; #1 Grandsons Austin(2) and Aaron (3 months); brother, Micahel; and a host of family and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Matthew Fargen and all his friends at the Preston Highway Fresenius Dialysis Center, who helped him through his lifelong battle of diabetes. A special thanks to the ICU staff of 4B at Norton Hospital.
Funeral ceremony will be 1:30 pm Friday, August 13, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday, August 12 from 2-7 pm. Memorials may be made to the family.
