Arthur Wayne Moore

Arthur Wayne Moore, Sr. born on April 28, 1961, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2025. Wayne leaves behind a legacy built on laughter, love, and a passion for life that resonated with everyone who knew him.

Throughout his life, Wayne found immense joy in working on cars, a career that reflected his hands-on approach to life and his keen problem-solving skills. He devoted countless hours to honing his craft and sharing his expertise with others. In addition to his professional pursuits, he cherished the simple pleasures that life had to offer. Wayne had a love for riding his Harley motorcycle, which brought him both freedom and exhilaration, allowing him to connect with the open road and the beauty of nature. Furthermore, he delighted in working in his yard, taking pride in his surroundings and the effort he put into nurturing them.

Wayne’s personality was a remarkable gift; he possessed a natural ability to make people laugh, always ready with a witty remark or a funny story that could instantly brighten anyone's day. His whimsical spirit and infectious smile will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Above all else, Wayne was a dedicated and loving family man. His proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He took great joy in their lives, celebrating their milestones, and showering them with affection.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Waylon and his aunts, Sarah Ethel Stevens and Ethel Mae Russell.

Wayne leaves behind to cherish his memories, his parents, Vernon "Frog" and Brenda Mathes Moore; children, Sarah Moore (Josh) Orberson, and  Arthur Wayne "Harley" Moore, Jr.; grandchildren, Devin Moore, Westlee Heath, Patrick Orberson, and Lily Ethelmae Orberson; brother, Mark Moore; nephew, Mason Moore and his four legged companion, Scary.

A visitation will be held on March 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky, 40272. A funeral service will follow the same day, starting at 6:00 PM.

Arthur Wayne Moore’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home for Wayne' funeral expenses.
