Ardell Iva "Sandi" Bercot

Ardell Iva "Sandi" Bercot, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was a master gardener and excellent cook and was well-loved by her family and friends. Sandi enjoyed the countless conversations and laughter that was shared during visits with her sisters on the front porch.

She was born on October 30, 1933, in Seattle, Washington, to Arthur and Rita (Clark) Durham. Sandi is survived by her children, Lori English and Michael Bercot (Shannon Ragland); stepchildren, Walt English (Sheila) and Ruth English; grandchildren, Rachel Perkins (Kevin), Cory DeLong, Skyler Bercot, and Kylie Bercot (fiancé, Chris Brown); and great-grandchildren, Blayne and Gabriel Perkins.

Sandi's wish was to be cremated. A reception of family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her memorial service taking place at 11:00 a.m.

Contributions in Sandi's memory may be made to Graceland Baptist Church, where she was a longtime and active member.
