Antoinette "Toni" (Ulrich) Lukemeier, 81, of New Albany, peacefully went home to be with God on Sunday evening, November 7, 2010. Toni was a member of the Wives of Submarine Veterans and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany.
Toni was born on November 9, 1928 in St. Joe, Indiana and attended St. Joe Catholic School and graduated from New Albany High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Carolina (Kraemer) Ulrich and her loving husband of 64 years, Henry E. Lukemeier.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Marie of New Albany; brother, Frank Ulrich of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Jason Flickner of New Albany, Tim Flickner of Clarksville and Christina Kiger and her husband, Jeremy of Carmel; great granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Kiger and loving friend, John Gage.
Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2010 and after 10 AM on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 12, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany) with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
