Anthony "Tony" Ferlanda Wright, 64, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022.
Anthony Ferlanda Wright, aka "Brother", was born on July 14, 1958, to Bobbie Edwards and the late James Edwards in Louisville, KY. He departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2022. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Gloria of 19 years, his mother Bobbie Edwards; his daughters, Monica Harris (Texas), Linda Wright (Washington), and Kendra Coleman, Keisha Wright, and Courtney Wright of Kentucky. His sons, Larry Burns (Kentucky), Gary Buie (Ohio), and Kevin Walker (Georgia). His sisters, Charolette Carter, Gwendolyn Logan (Steven), Yolanda McLean, Roveta Jordan, and Angela Wright, one brother, Everette "Pip" Wright.
He graduated from Male High School. He served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of Breathing New Life Ministry Church, where he served as a Deacon, former president and founding member of Men Standing in Christ. Even with his residence in Frankfort, KY, Tony would be only a phone call away to assist the maintenance of the church building. He enjoyed spending alot of time on the water, fishing for bluegill and catfish, and fellowshipping with his fishing buddies, Roscoe and Mike. He was an advocate fan of the Louisville Cardinals and Washington Commanders. Most of all he enjoyed being around his family, whether playing poker or social events, he loved being with his family. He enjoyed the happiness that surrounded him along with his friend Eric Pettway who kept him humble. He was a man of few words and when he spoke you listened. He always expressed himself with a positive attitude to advance into a brighter future.
He leaves 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grand that he loved so dearly. Proceeded his death, his father James Edwards, sister Caroline Gathright and son Maurice Buie. Without missing anyone, he will be missed by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 10:00am – 12:00pm with service to follow at 12:00pm.
Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160) at 11:00am.
