Anthony Lowell Thomas

Anthony Lowell Thomas, age 60 of Louisville, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020. Anthony was a graduate of DeSales High School, attended St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and was a Marine Corp Veteran. He was retired from the Louisville Zoo after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford F. and Mary Jane Thomas; brother, Charles Thomas; sisters, Mary Ann Howell and Donna Collins; nephew, John Collins; and his grandmother, Anna Koebel.

Anthony is survived by his loving children, Justin Thomas and Taylor Thomas; grandsons, Jaden and Jaxson; sisters, Patricia Buster, Elaine Holliger (Jim), Rita Dennison and Teresa Castle (Terry); brothers, Michael Thomas (Rose), Edward Thomas (Jan) and Christopher Thomas (Dixie); brother-in-law, William Howell; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 (in Middletown). A celebration of Anthony's life will be 11 am Friday, March 6, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
