Anthony Todd Hart

Anthony Todd Hart, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was born on July 7, 1958, and left us on November 13, 2024. His spirit, filled with humor and vitality, touched the lives of countless individuals who were fortunate enough to know him.

Throughout his life, Anthony was known for his unwavering work ethic—he was a man who simply couldn't sit. Whether he was fishing, camping, enjoying a leisurely boat ride, or immersed in the joys of building things, he poured his heart into everything he did. He found joy in hard work but was equally adept at finding laughter in the everyday moments. His playful nature, marked by a keen ability to aggravate those around him while keeping them laughing, made him a beloved jokester among friends and family alike.

Anthony took immense pride in his role as a husband, father and grandfather. His dedication to raising his children and embracing his grandchildren as his own was a testament to his boundless love and commitment. He created vivid memories, often sharing his favorite candies—Werthers, Butterfingers, and M&M Peanuts—enjoying simple moments that brought about joy and laughter.

His love for his family, especially a cherished individual named Alleyanna, was profound. They held a special place in his heart, embodying the deep connections that defined his life. Anthony’s contributions to his family's happiness were immeasurable; he was always there to lend a helping hand, ensuring their needs were met and offering unwavering support.

As we remember Anthony Todd Hart, we celebrate the indelible mark he left on our lives. A life lived with purpose, filled with laughter, and steeped in love for family, he will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him. The world is a little dimmer without his light, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly through the many lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Martha Hart; brother, Tommy Hart; daughter, Shelby Walters; sister, Maria Hart and his mother-in-law, Shirley Poindexter.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Shiela Decker Hart; children, Mike Decker, Michelle Decker, Marshall Decker, Melissa Alford, Shana Walters, Michael Decker, Dakota Decker, Alleyanna Stovall, Nalayah and Andrew Raque; 35 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Tim Hart, Sr.; sister, Laura Hart and sister-in-law, Becky Hart.
