Beloved Anthony "Tony" Carlos Barranco, 60, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
He was born on February 12, 1963 in Panama City, Panama. He is preceded in death by his father, Luis Barranco; and Angela Matilde Barranco, whom raised him from an early age.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Cindy Barranco; mother, Ana (Ceballo) Cossu; son, Scott (Megan) Linck; daughter, Amanda Linck; granddaughter, Emerson Hicks; siblings, Isolda (Edward), Edgar (Rosario), Arquimedes, Luz, Maria, Itzel, Elizabeth, Luis, Elmo and Eric; and his cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tony was a maintenance technician at UPS for over 22 years. He enjoyed the work itself, but more importantly, the love and camaraderie that he had with his co-workers who were really his second family. Tony was an avid cyclist since he was 10 years old. His passion for riding took him from the country of Panama to many states in the U.S. He was a member of The Bolla Cycling Team and a member of Southern Indiana Wheelman Bicycle Club. His heart was so full of love for cycling that it led him many times to stop and help any individual who was on the side of the road who needed a repair with a bike. His love of bicycles made him an expert in the field. He would give advice, offer his services and even help with the purchase of a bicycle. Tony will be dearly missed by all who crossed his path.
