Annie (McDowell) Sedlar, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 with her loving family by her side.
Annie was born on February 25, 1932 in Bee, Kentucky to the late Edgar Fawcett & Laura Jane (Carroll) McDowell. Annie was a loving mother, a faithful follower of Christ, and a dear friend to everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her children, Dianne Sedlar, Denise Dempster (Danny), Delores Berger (David), & David Sedlar; siblings, Barbara Lotze, June Rowe (Don), Junior McDowell (Debbie), & Arlene Glass; grandchildren, Jason Dempster (Jennifer), Julia Dempster, Olivia Sedlar, Chelsea, Caitlin, Cameron, & Claire Sedlar, Alex Berger (Whitney), Kevin Berger (Kari), & Philip Berger; great-grandchildren, Micah Jenkins & Hayley Berger. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Nora Taylor, Ova McDowell, Oral McDowell, Ora Meredith, Mabel Meredith, Rondol McDowell, Norma Meredith, Adeline Cox, Eugene McDowell, & Willard Glass.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Friday, July 12, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and from 11:00 AM to 12 PM (Central Time) Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church (Highway 1827 near Cub Run, Kentucky). Her Funeral Service will be Saturday at 12 PM (Central Time) at the church with burial to follow at church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army (2002 Grantline Road, New Albany, IN).
