Annie L. Jones

Annie L. Jones, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. Annie was a loving mother of seven children and spent her entire marriage as a military wife. She was heavily involved in the volunteer community with over 4,000 hours of volunteer service at Southwest Hospital. She was a member of Meadowlawn Baptist Church over 40 years. She was also a Past Matron and long serving member of Aurora #96 O.E.S. PHA, also a member of Louisville Assembly #41 as Past State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler (2 Terms).

She was born on August 21, 1932 in Anderson County, South Carolina to Fletcher and Katie (Brown) Scott. She is preceded in death by her Father, Fletcher Scott and Mother, Katie Elvira Scott; Children, Ronnie Jones and Venita D. Baker; Grandson, Bryce Keller; Four Brothers and Five Sisters.

Annie is survived by her loving Husband of 70 years, Claude Lamar Jones; Children, John D. (Sharon) Jones, Gary L. Jones, William A. Jones, Cathy E. (Randall) Wells, and Anthony L. (Christine) Jones; Grandchildren, Marcus Jones, Brian (Misty) Jones, Ebony Jones, Andre (Ashley) Jones, Aleshia Carter, Natasha Jones, Ciarra Jarboe, Nathan Jones, and Nicholas Jones; 11 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Special Niece, Katie (Ben) Preston; Special First Cousin, Evelyn Campbell, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Meadowlawn Baptist Church, (12103 E. Orell Road).Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm and her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Meadowlawn Baptist Church with entombment to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
