Anne Bowie Gilbert

Anne Bowie Gilbert, 73, of Louisville Kentucky passed away on November 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and lifelong friends.

Known by all as Annie, she never knew a stranger. Her sincere love for others followed her from childhood to adulthood. Anne was the daughter of the late WAVE TV Anchor, Livingston Gilbert and Ruth Mary (Gilbert) Miller who was an accomplished playwright. She was born and raised in Louisville and spent several years in New York after her engagement to TV and film producer, Rip Crystal, the brother of comedian, Billy Crystal. Anne was a talented artist, accomplished photographer and retired massage therapist.

Anne is preceded by her parents, Livingston Gilbert and Ruth Mary Miller; her grandparents, Sue Hood and Adelbert Hood; her brother, Edward Lincoln "Lin" Miller Jr., and her baby boy, Adelbert.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three daughters, Morgan (Snowden Isaacs) Gilbert Newlove, Jordan Hurst, and Corey Robison; her grandchildren, Jerzee Gilbert Newlove, Dominic Hurst, Journey Toohey, and Agent Bittner; her siblings, Mimi (Rocky) Scofield, Mark Miller, and Caroline (Mike) Schneider; her nieces and nephews, Michael Perryman, Christian Miller, Jacob Schnieder, Katie Roy, LJ Miller, and Stephen Miller; her sister-in-law, Cindy Miller; 9 grand-nieces, 2 grand-nephews, and 1 great grand-niece, as well as other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 1:00pm – 4:00pm with a service to follow beginning at 4:00pm.
