Ann Elizabeth Schmitt

Ann Elizabeth Schmitt, 81, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2023. Ann was born on March 13, 1942, to the late Susie and Luther Dermon. She was a member of Lee's Lane Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary #2173. Ann loved shopping, going out to eat with family and friends. One of Ann's favorite pastimes was going to the casino and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She enjoyed going to Florida and walking on the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Lee Dermon; granddaughter, Kendall Dermon and brother-in-law, Lucky Nethery.

Ann leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 48 years, Wayne Schmitt; son, Clarence Ray (Kim) Dermon, Sr.; grandson, Clarence Ray Dermon, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Kynadee Dermon; sisters, Cathy Nethery and Debbie (Kenny) Timmons; nieces, Amanda Timmons and Kim Stacy; nephews, Bryan Nethery and Donnie Dermon; fur baby Roco and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 4pm-8pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. A celebration of Ann's life will be on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the funeral home beginning at 1pm.

Ann will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff, KY.
