Ann (Kanalstein) Naiman

Ann (Kanalstein) Naiman passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was born on July 15, 1915 in White Podlasie, Poland to the late Berish and Rachel Kanalstein

Ann came to the United States in August 1927, living first in Staten Island, New York, working in a millinery shop. She married her husband, Samuel, and moved to New Jersey where they ran a family business for many years before retiring and moving to Louisville, Kentucky in 1994. Ann ate a healthy diet. Long before it was "popular" she exercised, swam, played tennis, and loved to dance. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years Samuel, by her parents, 4 sisters; Sarah, Goldie, Ethel, and Ree, 2 brothers; Ralph and Louis and step granddaughter; Kristine Riney Davidson. Survived by her son; Leslie Naiman (MJ) , 2 step granddaughters; Stephanie Dufffee, (Andy ) and Lauren Riney (fiancé Mike Frank), step great grandchildren; Hunter, Abigail, LaRon and Emory, eight nieces and nephews, a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Hosparus of Louisville, especially Sandy, Denise and the entire staff at Touchpoint and at the Norton Pavilion unit for making her last days comfortable.
