Ann Denise Crawford

Ann Denise Crawford 67, of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 13, 2024. Her family was the most important part of her life. Denise was a kind and patient woman who always put her family first. Denise would be the first to brag on any of her children, no matter the accomplishment. Denise was a gentle soul who would always see the bright side in any situation. Denise was the kind of person that would find a kind word when no one else could. Denise loved gardening fruits, vegetables and flowers. Denise worked for JCPS at Shelby Elementary where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaime Staples; parents, James and Norma Mayes; brothers, Jimmy Mayes, Larry Mayes and Garry Mayes and her sister, Diane Bruce.

Denise leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Gerry A. Crawford; children, Rashad Mitchell, Teshia (Jasmin) Mitchell, Maranda Crawford, Daionna Crawford, Donald Hall, III, Brandi Hall, Jai'leal Crawford and Angelique Mitchell; stepson, Zioin Franklin; grandchildren, AJ Mack, Jamarious Mitchell, Amara Mitchell, Cierra Crawford, Keyaria Dunn, DaNyla Taylor, Jamarion Mitchell and Alizah Mitchell; sister, Debbie Mayes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, Friday, February 23, 2024, from 12pm-6pm. On Saturday, February 24, 2024, visitation will be at One Accord Christian Fellowship, 3605 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 9am-11am with a celebration of Denise's life beginning at 11am.
