Anita Marie Sanders

Anita Marie Sanders, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. Anita was a carefree, outgoing, and the center of attention who loved her husband more than anything in this world. She loved her family and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on July 3, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to Jessie and Geraldine (Hornback) Murphy. She is preceded in death by her Father, Jessie Lloyd Murphy and Mother, Geraldine Josephine Murphy.

Anita is survived by her loving Husband of 30 years, Michael Anthony Sanders; Children, Dana M. (Warren) Price Torrey, David W. (Kennetha) Sanders, Jr., and Deborah C. Sanders; Grandchildren, Timothy (Brianna) Torrey, Sabrina Torrey, Marissa Torrey, Brandon Torrey, Natasha Sanders, Michael Sanders, Camron Sanders, Maddie Briggs, Marlow Briggs, and Miyha Briggs; Great-Grandchildren, Jacob Torrey, Roland Money-Torrey, Londyn Johnson-Torrey, Truett Torrey, and Giovanni Snow, Jr.; Siblings, Pat (Butch) Harris, Steve Murphy, Deanna (Tony) Baldwin, Lisa Murphy, Ann (Jerry) Gray, Edward (Pat) Sanders, Jr., Greg Sanders, Jeanie Sanders, Steven (Kathy) Sanders, and Theresa Sanders, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Anita's memory be made to Ronald McDonald House.
