Anita Davette Gibson, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
She was born on December 2, 1965 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Kuhn Hill, sister, Teri, brother, Chuck, and her sister, Lynn.
Anita devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed singing, coloring, socializing; she was truly the life of the party. Anita loved spending time with her family; especially her grandkids and she adored her furbaby MayMay. She will truly be missed by all who was fortunate enough to meet her.
Anita is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Rickey Wayne Gibson, mother, Bonnie Cawthorne, daughters, Cassi McCoy and Leatha Childs, grandchildren, Trey Rickner, Zackary Rickner, Aiden Rickner, Nevaeh McCoy and Joshua (Melanie) Wisner, Jr., her great grandchild, Olivia Wisner, her best friends, Debbie Hale and Rebecca Gassman, her little brother, David Daniels and her special fur friend, MayMay.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 27th and 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 28th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service celebrating her life will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
The family requests that contributions in Anita 's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
