Angela Ramirez (Angie), left this life on Thursday, September 28 at the age of 50.
Angie, born in Lexington, Kentucky, was the daughter of Joseph and Brenda (Miles) Thompson. Angie was a 1991 graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and a 1995 graduate of Bellarmine College. After graduating, Angie worked at GE where she met her great love, Lionel.
Together, Lionel and Angie built a life they loved, along with their two sons Alex and Zach. Angie had a passion for good books, travel, and most importantly time spent with her family. Angie's life
and love touched many across the world, as she was a resident of Mexico, Brazil, China and the United States. Everywhere she went, Angie made friends and family. She had a gift for making those around her feel important and loved. Angie especially treasured her Shanghai Sisters and her book club friendships.
Angie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Thompson.
She leaves behind many who will miss her every day and cherish her memories including her husband Lionel, sons Alex and Zach, mother, Brenda Thompson, siblings Kathleen Thompson, Lisa Brignola (Perry), Theresa Flaugher (David), Gary Thompson (Leigh), Robert Thompson (Jodi), Martha Royse (Wesley), Sharon Mansdorf (Bart), William Thompson (Jennifer), and Mary Carter (Scott); as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
True to her love for family, Angie requested a small service where those she loved most could share their favorite memories.
Angie's remains will be interred at Cave Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Angie requested donations be made to Gilda's Club and the YMCA's Livestrong Program.
