Angela L. Cooper, 89, passed away on August 25, 2023. She worked as a press operator at Fawcett Printing Company for many years until the company was sold in 1973. Angela was a member of Greater Salem Baptist Church for more than fifty years where she worshiped and taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
She was born on February 12, 1934 in Florence Alabama, to Fred and Juanita {Howell} Reynolds.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H Cooper; a son, Millven A. Cooper and 2 sisters, Mary E Reynolds Thomas and Fred Anita Reynolds.
Angela is survived by her son, William B Cooper; daughter, Queen Elizabeth D Cooper; grandchildren, Nadia Cooper (Shavar), Dr. Shaquilla Cooper, Cartier Cooper, Donte Cooper and Michael Cooper; brother in law, Alex Cooper; sisters in law, Willie B Cooper, Otha Lee Ragland, Nancy Cooper; auntie, Lillie Cunninghan; special friend, Virginia French and extended family; sisters, Cheryl West, Jeryl Elery, Linda Elery; daughters, Lynn Fleming {Zel}, Weddie Lanier {Nicholas}, Deborah Leacock {Ricardo}, Mona Fleming, Yvonne Leslie, Gwen Cook, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am - 12:30pm with a celebration of Angela's life beginning at 12:30pm.
Angela's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.

Angela will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY, following her services at the funeral home.
