Andrew Rosenberger

Andrew Joseph Rosenberger, 81, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He retired from the Indiana Ammunitions Plant (ICI) and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany, Indiana. In his younger years, he enjoyed the open road on his motorcycle and loved playing golf and bowling with family and friends.

He was born on September 6, 1929 in Borden, Indiana to the late John and Loretta (Gettelfinger) Rosenberger. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Rosenberger.

Andrew is survived by his sons, Daniel J. "Danny" Rosenberger and his wife, Mary of New Albany, Indiana and Blain L. Rosenberger and his wife, Stephanie of Greenville, Indiana; brothers, Melvin and his wife, Mary Ann, Irvin and his wife, Mary, and Nelson Rosenberger, all of Starlight, Indiana; three grandchildren, Kristy Grider and her husband, James of Marengo, Indiana, Shawn and Brandon Rosenberger of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and after 8:30 AM on Tuesday. There will be a Prayer Service at 4 PM on Monday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be 10 AM on Tuesday, December 14 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany followed by burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight.
