Evansville

Andrea Nicole Gibbs, born on April 11, 1978, in Evansville, Indiana, tragically passed away on February 18, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a spirited individual who lived life on her own terms, embodying a personality that was funny, feisty, and outgoing. Andrea had a unique ability to connect with others, never meeting a stranger, and she embraced every moment with passion.

A proud 1996 graduate of Eastern High School, Andrea went on to achieve a degree in logistics from Sullivan University. She dedicated herself to her career, embarking on her lifelong dream as a case manager for the Indiana Department of Child Services, where she sought to make a difference in the lives of others.

Andrea was a voracious reader with a keen interest in various genres, ranging from true crime to mysteries. However, her greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Ashley Nicole Gibbs, whom she cherished deeply. Andrea's love for her family was evident, and she created countless memories with them throughout her life.

Andrea is survived by her loving daughter, Ashley Nicole Gibbs; her father, Michael L. Hedrick (Lyndia); her brother, Joey Hedrick (Audra); her grandmother, Shirley "Nana" Miller; her step-sister, Lisa Morrison (Joe); and her step-brother, Kevin Morrison (Melissa). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish her memory.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Susan Elaine Miller-Wood, and her grandfather, William J. Miller.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Andrea's life on Monday March 3, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. A graveside service will take place at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, at 2:00 PM.

Andrea Nicole Gibbs will be remembered fondly for her vibrant spirit, dedication to her family, and the profound impact she had on everyone around her. May she rest in peace.
