Ana Maria Freeland, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
She was born on May 25, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Gustavo Santistevan and Lucia Tode Santistevan. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life, husband of 61 years, Denzil "Dale" Freeland, Jr., together they raised one child. She lived her early life in Lima, Peru with her parents. She met Dale in Lima in 1960 and the couple wed in 1961. They settled in Louisville a few years later. Ana Maria loved sharing her life with Dale, and being together with her family. She had a love for animals, especially her cats, Pikey and Whiskey. Ana Maria was also a talented decorator and had a witty sense of humor.
Ana Maria is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Maria Freeland, grandchildren, Roman, Carolina, and Olivia; Sister, Cecilia Miro.
