Alta L. Gendron

Alta Lorraine Gendron, 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Alta always enjoyed music, dancing, playing card games, going to plays, bowling, and watching her favorite sports teams. But her most cherished memories were the times spent with her family and friends.

She was born on April 19, 1932 in Brainerd, Minnesota to Gideon and Anna (Krueger) Sherlund. She is preceded in death by her Father, Gideon Joseph Sherlund, Mother, Anna Louise Beck, Husband, Eugene George Gendron, Sr., and Son, Leslie J. Gendron.

Alta is survived by her loving family, Children, Vickie J. (David) Overfelt, Eugene G. (Lynda) Gendron, Jr., Richard G. (Sabrina) Gendron, and Curtis W. (Rebecca) Gendron; 10 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters-In-Law, Janice Mathers and LaVonne Paulson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish her memory forever.

Her Graveside Service will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central).
