Alma Mae Farrow, age 78 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James John Parle and Dorothy Helen Nelson. The youngest of six children she was a loving sister, as well as, a cherished mother and grandmother. Mae was a devoted homemaker who also worked for American Standard and Kroger for short periods of time. Her favorite things included playing bingo and board games, casino trips, scary movies, crime dramas, banana pudding, broccoli casserole, chicken and dumplings (not all at the same time), and spending time with her adoring family. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, June Casey, Ida Zeller, and Donna Logsdon; and her husband, Harold Ray Farrow.
Mae is survived by her children, Joseph (Heidi) Shultz Jr., Rebecca Shultz Donahoe, and Nina (Michael) Farrow; step-daughters, Kelli and Tracy; grandchildren, Jeff, JT, Maegan, Nicholas, Jovie, and Anastasia; step-grandchildren, Brett and Kennedy; sister, Nola Gaus; brother, Roy Parle; as well as many nieces and nephews. Though gone in life, Mae will forever live in the hearts of those that love her.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. A celebration of Mae's life will be 11am on Tuesday, August 15th at the funeral home.
