Allen A. Perkins, 86, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on December 24, 2011. He was a WWII Marine Corps veteran and retired from International Harvester after over 30 years of service. He was also the owner and operator of Perkins Honey Farm. He truly enjoyed the time he got to spend with all of his loyal customers.
Allen was born on August 19, 1925 in Floyds Knobs to the late Robert C. and Anna Marie (Smith) Perkins. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Robert Perkins.
He is survived by a son, Tony Perkins (Eva), of Floyds Knobs; sisters, Evelyn Hash, of Floyds Knobs and Martha Meyers, of Clarksville, IN; granddaughters, Sally Perkins and Gabrielle Pflueger (Ted); great-granddaughter, Lola Perkins.
His visitation will be from 1 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 27 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home with entombment and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
